productivity

Even though not much has happened over the last week, I've still managed to stay insanely busy. I'm still battling the issue of my never-ending-not-ever-quite-as-clean-as-I-want-it tornado of a house.... it's a work in progress, but I'm trying to get some projects done around the house. Hopefully soon, we'll start working on my scrapbook room in the basement...I can't wait!

In other news, I started my membership at Lifetime Fitness. Call it silly, but just having a place to actually go to work out does a world of good for motivation. Not to mention the child care, equipment, pool, classes, etc....I'm very excited about it. It's also nice because I can go after work and not have to worry about the kids coming with me. Exercise has always been a challenge for me. I've always been an active person, but formally 'exercising' is a chore. I forgot how empowering it is to jump in the shower after running 1.5 miles, cycling 2.5, and doing 100 crunches....I can't wait to get to a healthier me!

Here's to a new me. A more productive me. A healthier me. A me who puts God in control. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Sometimes, I forget that. Okay, okay....a lot of times, I forget that.

A fresh start for 2009

Well, the chaos of the holidays is finally over. We had a fantastic Christmas morning with just our babies...Santa was good to us. We had brunch at my parents and opened gifts there, then headed to Canada on the 28th to spend the week with the King family. We rang in the new year with Jer's family, and had a great time visiting. We kept very busy and now we're home and have to catch up on a lot of work around the house, and get back to work!
Faith put out cookies and eggnog for Santa this year. She also left celery for the reindeer! What a sweet girl.

My awesome Cricut that Jeremy bought me for Christmas. The surprise got spoiled but I was still so excited!  (The face is staged, though)

Jeremy and I at my parents on Christmas day.

Me and my baby boy opening presents with the King family.

My new nephew Mason Reed, who I got to meet last week! What a handsome guy!

I am excited for the new year, and can't wait to see what God has in store for us next.
