I don't see a video (?), but judging by the tags I think a big "Congratulations!!" is in order.

Very happy for your family.

We are connected by 6 degrees of separation through mutual friends from MDYC, (although I'm quite a bit older than you :) )

God Bless.

Congratulations! You are very brave ... I'm mother to a blended family of five myself. We more spaced out with ages between 5-16 years old. One of the children would love us to have a combined sibling, but we're at the age where that door is (thankfully) closed. Best wishes!

I've been following your journey for about 2 years now and God is awesome. To think he had all this in mind 2 years ago is wild. Thanks for sharing all this.

I remembered someone asked you about having another baby during your Q&A and I couldn't recall what your response was; I just found it.

Vee: In short, no. I was done having children at 2, haha! I am so grateful for our big funky family, but as of right now, we don’t even have a seat in our van for another person! We don’t have the space or the finances or the sanity to have another child. We both agree that we would love to experience having a baby together to redeem our last pregnancies and go through that as a couple, but we don’t love the idea of having 6 kids. I’ve always wanted to adopt and perhaps someday down the road if we’re in a place where we feel like we could, we haven’t shut that door yet. But right now…I’m pretty tired.

Looks like the universe had other plans! Big changes in store!

Good luck and congratulations!

AHHHH!! I had to fast forward the video to see if it was true...and then rewind it and watch it all the way through.

One of the verses that has ministered to me over the years is Deuteronomy 30:3-4. The Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you. Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the Lord your God will gather you and bring you back.

Amen.

I'm so thankful for his gathering in my life.

"we don’t love the idea of having 6 kids"

If you cannot financially afford another child, please do not do so! Seriously, I do not want to pay for your baby. Just because you can, doesn't mean you shouldnt. It won't fix things.

I hope things work out for you :)

This is awesome news and a big CONGRADULATIONS to both of you!

But I'm not totally surprised....you guys love each other so much its no surprise that God is blessing you with this baby. You two are the best parents ever....and the best couple ever....no one deserves more happiness than the two, or should I say, the soon-to-be-eight-of-you.

Time to get that bigger van! :)

Hi Vee - this video had me in tears - it is so beautiful. I love it. Sorry I have not been around to comment lately, I broke my ankle on Xmas 2012 and have been laid up for several months after emergency curgery (2012 was really not my year!!).

And to you ridiculous negative commenters - if you don't have anything nice to say to Vee and Steve, then please don't comment at all.

CONGRATS!!!! I can't wait to follow you in this new journey :) I know Jeremy is smiling down on you with this precious news.

You guys waste no time, makes me feel lazy. :) I am glad you will have a child that is shared by you both and it WILL bring the family even closer together. And to the nasty commenter, NO ONE can afford children, unless they are Bill Gates. They are expensive!! But people make it work and I know these two will! Congrats! Lisa

I stumbled upon your blog a year or two ago. I must admit, you have helped me to take advantage of every day and every blessing God has given me with my husband and little boy. Thank you for being so vulnerable. You really do touch hearts with your words and show the love of Christ by your honesty. Just wanted to say a HUGE congratulations to you and your sweet family! I think it is a wonderful blessing and that it will only make your unique family that much more special! Hope you are feeling wonderful and encouraged today! Just wanted to say thank you for encouraging a complete stranger. You inspire me. :) Yay for Baby #6!!
